Hi there
It takes around 8 to 10 weeks for a decision so if they got everything on 25th August then it is still early days for a decision0 -
The letter you received is just a standard letter sent to everyone. It still confuses me why they send them because all it causes is more anxiety. A decision can still take several weeks.

Hi @molly3587
I can understand receiving the letter 'getting your hopes up' for a not too distant outcome, but unfortunately you may have several more weeks to wait (as advised). Fingers crossed for you and should you have any more questions in the meantime, please ask away.
Just to let you know, I've amended the title of your thread to help others spot the topic
Take care and have a lovely Wednesday PM.0 -
Good evening everyone…
I’m new to all of this, I have applied for pip they have received my forms on the 25th July and now it’s in a pile waiting to be looked at so the lady said on the phone ?0 -
Hi there
Unfortunately claims are taking a long time around 10 months from start finish
People in some areas are waiting over 6 months for a assessment1 -

What happens next they look at it then will I have a health assessment? What are the stages ?
I hear it’s taking along time I don’t mind waiting I just wanted to know what happens next
thank you ?0 -
You should get an appointment from the health care providers for an assessment
Majority are still over the phone rather than f2f
Some have paper based but this is quite rare
After assessment the hcp sends report to a decision maker who then looks at the report recommendations and all the evidence you have provided to make a decision0 -

thank you ?Your file will be sent to the health assessment providers and you'll most likely be sent an appointment for either a telephone or face to face assessment. Paper based assessments are rare although still possible. Once the assessment has been completed a report will be written and returned to DWP. A decision maker will then look at all your evidence, including your PIP2 form and the report and make a decision. Once it'a made you'll be sent the decision letter. All you can do now is wait but as advised, it could be quite a while.0 -
Thank you all for your information
