Anyone else had a call to ask about hospital stays, leaving the country, and being in prison?

Hi, I was wondering if anybody had ever had anything similar to this, I sent my original application off on 10th feb, first time around after a stressful and long wait I was rejected, however I realised I hadn’t sent enough evidence off and so I sent off more with my MR. Got a call 2 days ago from a lady at DWP who said she’s looking at my review today and just had a few questions. She asked
have you had a long term stay in hospital since 10th feb?
have you been out of the country since 10th feb
have you been in prison since 10th feb
I said no, she said ok that’s fine and have you changed your bank details since 10th feb( which would be when I gave my bank details on original application) I said no, she said ok you will have a letter in the next 10 days bye.
I know that hospital stays, going abroad and prison can have your benefits stopped or deducted, so I can’t help but think she wouldn’t be asking if she wasn’t awarding me the PIP, has anybody else had a call like this and then went on to recieve pip or is this just a standard call they make when doing the reconsiderations?

Anybody that gets back to me I would be very grateful I can’t help over thinking right now
Thankyou

Those are indeed questions they usually ask when they owe you some money. However, there has been a recent member here who was asked those very questions but a few weeks later when they received the MR decision it was still a refusal. Fingers crossed that this isn't the same for you.

@kc1606 hi there.
I had the same call this Monday, plus 2 more questions, engaging with people and planning a journey due to my panick attacks and anxiety.
Not sure what to make of it, but i know from previous travels (not hospital/prison not sure about those) that you can leave the country for up to 4 weeks for PIP not to be affected, as we asked!
Once i get my letter, I will write a post about all the experiences as it might help others.
Now the waiting has begun, 6 more days ???.
