Lake District

My wife and I are going to the lake district for a few days next week. We are staying in a spa hotel for a treat before winter so we will be well looked after. So far we have booked a visit to the aquarium along with a couple of treatments in the spa but nothing else. We are quite close to Lake Windemere.
Anyone any ideas of what else to see or do? Baring in mind my mobility issues.

Hi there
One of my favourite places
There is a park on waterfront called fell foot park really nice
Just visit as many of the lakes you can
There is a lovely pub at Newby bridge0 -
I've never been, so I can't give you a recommendation, but I hope you have a lovely time @Dragonslayer!0

There’s a little ferry boat which traverses lake Windermere I believe.0

Funny you mentioned Newby Bridge, that's where we are staying. I will look out for the pub you mention. You didn't mention the pubs name. Maybe I will have to try them all. ? lol.
@leeCal
I love the idea of the boat ride. I think there will be some good photos to take as well ?
Thanks for the ideas.0 -
Sorry don't know names but you can't miss it
It is right by the bridge looking over the water0 -
I'm back from the Lakes and they were great, so was the hotel and the spa. Had a few drinks and some good food. Went on the water and took some photos. It was good to get away and have some freedom at last.0

A selection of photos I took at the lakes. The hotel was an old mill, I liked the ivy creeping up the walls. The river is the view from our balcony.
