Hi my teenager is now 17 and is claiming p I p due to certain spectrums. She goes to college 3 days a week but all her friends are getting little pt jobs. If we could find one that she is able to manage how will it affect benifit. I am disabled to claiming pip. My hubby works just part time so we get help with working tax credits but also disabled child tax credits. I understand she will keep her p I p is there any other help we could get as I imagine that will all stop if she works a few hours

Her working will not affect your tax credits. People do work and claim PIP providing the work you do doesn't contradict the reasons why you're claiming then there shouldn't be any problems.

Hi @burn
Welcome to the community!
Thanks for asking your question. Just to let you know, I moved your post into our benefits and financial support category.
I hope that poppy123456's comment has cleared that up for you? Fingers crossed your daughter manages to find a part time job that would work for herDo you know what kind of thing she might be interested in doing?

Hello @Burn and welcome to the forum. Have you had a look at Scope's Career Pathways service? They might be able to help
I think health sector work can be very rewarding, it might be that a careers adviser can help her decide if it's definitely what she wants to pursue.
Let us know how you get on1 -
Will do
