Standard living rate PIP and Child tax credit

I want to know that I recently awarded Standard rate of living component of PIP and I am getting child tax credits for my two kids even before I awarded PIP . My question is that, am I suppose to get more amount of Child tax credit due to my PIP award disability? Or it will remain same as I used to get before .
Some people saying that if I tell the child tax credit office about my disability PIP award they will increase my child tax credit payments. Please let me know if it is true .
Thanks.
Thanks.

It doesn't affect your child tax credits because the PIP award is yours, not your childrens. If you're claiming working tax credits then you may be entitled to more.
