PIP waiting time and decision maker vs assessor

Long story short! 

I tripped in June and needed emergency surgery on my wrist, this has left lasting damage and I am unable to cook, dress, bathe without help. I applied for PIP on 27th August, had a F2F assessment on 17th November and received a copy of my report on 29th November. 

I still haven't had decision and wondered if anyone was/is in the same boat? My report shows 9 points- when testing myself I gave myself 13 points but understand that this may differ. I've had both hips replaced but this doesn't really affect my mobility as I fell when out running! 

Do the decision makers take points away more often then give? Or do they tend to go with the report? How much longer will the wait be? I'm leicester based.

    Hi,
    They mostly go with the report, it's rare for them to go against it but it can and does happen. Waiting times for decision's are between 2-12 weeks. All you can do is wait for the decision.
    If you used the PIP self test, this isn't reliable unless you fully understand the PIP descriptors and the criteria and few people do. If you're not happy with the decision oncve it's made i'd advise you to get some expert advice before requesting the mandatory Reconsideration, to check that it's possible to score more points for a higher award.

    Yes the Decision makers usually go with the report, They went with mine and the assessor recommended 0 points for me, Received the decision letter and this was the same, I’m currently writing a MR.

    Was the 9 points just for the daily living part ? Or combined ? If its your total points u won't be entitled to pip and they will almost always go with the assesors report

    That’s true, They went with the Assessors report for me with 0 points being the recommendation, Sending my MR tomorrow morning.

    That was for daily living. I didn't get anything for mobility which is understandable as I only struggle to drive but have an adapted steering wheel.

    Oh okay 9 points for daily living means if successfully you will get standard daily living allowance wich is around 60 pound a week
