Told PIP my conditions have worsened. I completed new form, and sent back. They haven't received it?

Hi I recently called PIP as I feel that because my condition  has got worse I should be getting s higher rate they sent out s new form which I filled in and sent back between the 1st and 10th December. However I received  a letter to say they havnt received  it what should I do .

    Hi @janmerrett - & welcome to the community. I'm unsure why these letters get sent out sometimes as mail rarely gets lost, but with backlogs it can take some time before it reaches the DWP & gets logged into their system. It will likely turn up.
    However, hoping you've kept a copy of everything you sent, I would resend, getting a free Certificate of Postage from your Post Office when posting back. If they didn't send you another form to complete, then request this, saying when you posted your form back to them initially.

    Hi,
    Those letters are automatically generated if the form hasn't been received by a certain date. It's very likely that your form crossed with sending out that letter. It can take a few weeks for post to be added to the community and it's not classed as arriving until then.
    Most people have assessments, even for reporting changes. Backlogs are huge so you could be waiting several months for the assessment.

    I hope that the above responses have been helpful. I can imagine the letter caused you some concern, but fingers crossed things are just a little delayed.
