CBD and CP

Hi, hope you’re all well! I’m still struggling with my legs 😞 I’ve had another MRI scan and nothing has changed; which is good but frustrating as no real answer!! I’m being referred to a neurological rehab consultant to see if they can help; but obviously got to wait. So I’m doing some research and read about CBD oil; has anyone tried this recently? Does it help with tightness in legs?
On a positive note, as it was disability month, I did a blog which was on my employers website; https://www.virginatlantic.com/content/vaa/gb/en/blog/OurPeople/charlotte-shiel.html
Happy Christmas and take care

Hi @Charl73 - I don't have CP, but have taken CBD oil for over 3 years. It has reduced some of my pain for which I'm grateful; it doesn't seem to have affected my neuropathic pain that much, which is the worst, unfortunately. However, everyone is different, & personally I would feel it worth a try.Now researching CBD is a bit of a minefield; where to reputedly buy from, how to take, & how many drops, what strength, etc.Personally I've always bought from this ethical company, who have lab certified results about CBD, & use this oil which contains CBDa which is helpful with pain. Please see: https://www.simply-cbd.co.uk/collections/all/products/green-cbd-oil?variant=37927970963639 They also have a guide as to how best to take CBD: https://www.simply-cbd.co.uk/a/faq#UsingCBD-0You also have to be careful as CBD is broken down by the same liver enzymes that break down over 95% of prescribed meds. So, if taking these, you should talk to your pharmacist, or GP before trying CBD. It's still possible, but for safety you should leave a 4 hour gap between taking CBD & most meds otherwise you may not get the benefit of your meds, or may get an accidental overdose. The company I mention also has recently offered transdermal patches: https://www.simply-cbd.co.uk/collections/cbd-patches as the CBD is then absorbed through the skin, it doesn't affect any oral medication you may be taking. I've just bought some so can't as yet say how effective I hope they may be, but they seem a very safe way for people to try.If you have any questions I would be pleased to reply.1

I have used CBD oil, gummies, capsules and none had a noticeable effect on me, unfortunately. One of the better ones that I tried was Blessed CBD. Avoid the rubbish from Holland & Barrett.
Love the blog @Charl73!0 -
