New to pip. How long does it usually take to get an assessment or decision?

I applied for pip on 20th October and I have sent the forms back to them but i am still waiting for the assessment usually how long does it take to get a assessment or decesion any further information would be much appreciated

Hi,That is no time at all to be waiting. Backlogs are huge and the estimated timescale from applying to having a decision is about 10 months.Most people have assessments so you should expect one of those, which is likely to be by telephone. All you can do is wait, once an appointment becomes available you will be contacted.0
