    Most of my early years (0-4) I spent it in Spain, as my parents owned property there, so I can still speak some Spanish, but I mostly use English now

    I would recommend Duolingo @Libby_Scope - I've used it for German before, & really need to get back to it. They have both Italian & Spanish, & it's free to use.

    @Ross_Scope's first response is the one I most closely relate to! Which was being able to talk nonsense as my other language. Made me chuckle too, thanks Ross. However, on a more serious note, I can only speak English! I am really impressed by how many of you can speak multiple languages :)

    I am fluent in Gujarati. And I can easily understand Hindi, although I have never attempted to speak it.

    @chiarieds I'm thinking of learning Spanish was looking at audio course due to my vision issues 

    How does duolingo work is there lot of reading I'm not bothered about the written language just speaking

    Hi @janer1967 - Duolingo I found very good, you can do it at your own pace; you decide. Whilst part of it is visual with the words written underneath, you hear the spoken language, & listening is how I learn.
    I can speak some German (I have never formally been taught it), but with an Austrian accent from where I learnt long ago. I remember it happened a few times that Germans thought I was Dutch due to my slightly odd accent!
    With Duolingo there are extra bits you can read concerned with grammar, but you chose whether to do this. Give it a try. :)

    Thanks @L_Volunteer and @Libby_Scope... It really helped watching all those Bollywood films which is how I picked up understanding Hindi :)

    @janer1967 - I hope you manage to find some audio Spanish courses. There must be some audio courses. I would investigate this for you but it would seem @chiarieds has already provided you with some useful information and insight. Do you have any more questions about it that we might be able to help answer?
