When was the start of my claim?

Hello,

I am new here. So grateful for this forum. I wanted to ask when did my claim start? I first applied for PIP in April 2020 when I was in hospital. I had two PIP assessments book but they got canceled due to me being ill. I had my PIP assessment two weeks ago. If I get backdated payment will it be from April 2020?

    The claim will be backdated to the date you rang to start it. However if this was while you were in hospital any payment will only start from the date you were discharged.
