When claiming UC any earnings received during your monthly assessment period will reduce your UC by 55% after the work allowance. If you had claimed UC after he received his last wages then this would have been better but they don't tell you that, which i think they should. Your ESA will also be deducted in full from any UC entitlement. Thankfully, he had his wages which i'm sure will help.

I'm sorry to hear that you caught coronavirus, and that your health is bad @sammy44. Are you receiving enough support from your medical team to help you manage the effects of this?

Hello @sammy44 how are you today?

I'm sorry to hear about how you've been feeling. Have you spoken to your GP about how you need more support, and explained the impact on your mental health? It might be worth taking someone you trust with you to an appointment, or having them speak over the phone with you, as that can help with getting the support you need.

Mind has lots of useful resources on self-care and strategies to help when feeling low or depressed, which you might find useful to have a look at. And if you ever feel like you need to talk to anyone about how you're feeling, you can text SHOUT to 85258, for free support, day or night, 24/7.

If you feel like we can offer you any additional support, please don't hesitate to ask.
