Is this DISCRIMINATION or NOT?

I have to agree on the job at hand. Can't say yes or no to this as it's both. If I can do a job with adjustments that allow me to it, but they don't want to put in place, then I guess so. But if I applied for a job I can't physically do no matter what adjustments there are, then no. That would be big health n safety risk. So it comes down to looking at the broader picture.2

If I was still able to work I would have extremely strong views on this topic, but because I don't doesn't mean I wouldn't support someone who was being discriminated against in the workplace definitely!1

I hope that you've found reading the replies above interesting, @Ichika
Is this something you've faced yourself?1 -
@Tori_Scope
yes, I am having trouble getting a job due to my disability, however, I feel as if I'm being discriminated against.0 -
I'm sorry to hear that @Ichika
Would you mind explaining a little more about your situation, and what's been happening, so that we can give you the best advice we can? What kind of jobs are you applying for? What's happened that's made you feel as though you're being discriminated against on the basis of your condition? I appreciate it's a sensitive subject, so there's no pressure to tell us anything you don't want to!
We have a page about disability discrimination in the workplace (including at the interview stage) on our website, so you might like to give that a read too.1 -
@Tori_Scope
I have been, applying for jobs, like Retail, office, petshops, jewellery, early years, waitressing.
Tbh I have been applying for countless, I am not giving myself a break, I should but I can't.
it is very frustrating.
but when it comes back, they always tell me that it's because of the large number of people, but because of my condition foetal alcohol syndrome, I feel as tho they don't want to train people up who have a disability because it would be too much money for them to fork out. which means they can't be bothered. well, that's how it feels anyway.0 -

NO - to (Who thinks there not being DISCRIMINATED due to disability)Not many employers even if you were refused a position due to your disability would say so. They would come up with another reason. This also goes for redundancy, promotion etc. As a disabled person it is very difficult to prove it is on the grounds of disability.1
