I can't wait until warmer days. Lighter nights, it makes everyone feel good.   I keep looking at the garden, with All the dead leaves in the flower beds. But it's too cold to even attempt it.  I'm already thinking about what flowers to plant this year.

Hi @Sandy_123, I cannot wait for the spring to come too. You are very lucky to have a garden. Must be very nice and cosy to relax there. Alpine violet seams to make good outdoor plants in the winter. They look so good in people's little gardens. Iris, daffodils, tulips and pansies  can all create nice composition. If you add some tall grass bushes on the back  the garden can looks more than  perfect. Wilko sells already bulbs and seeds so it is perfect time for a little shopping to create nice bed of flowers which could attract little bees. I wish I do have a bit of green space but I leave on the second floor without any balcony.

Hi @iza would you be able to have window  boxes, or is there a  shared  out door space that you can  use. Thankyou for the flower recommendations, I'll see what pops up out of the ground  in a few months. The squirel is busy digging up the lawn lol

We had a squirrel which used to bury conkers everywhere. We had Conker trees growing all over the place even in one hanging basket!

I love the winter best but the fuel bills bills are going to be punitive this year so...yes, roll on spring! Quick!

Hi @Sandy_123, I have very narrow windows sills but I do have little pots with green plants in the flat. But nothing can compare to balcony or little green space when you can sit with your cup and breath the fresh air.

I'm sure he will, he works hard looking for food, I've scattered some around the garden for him to find and left a pile together for him. The stray cat came to see if there was anything for him.
