Hello @Transverse I'm sorry no one has answered your query yet, I wonder if you could let us know how far you're willing to travel, and perhaps the star rating of the hotel you'd be looking for? That can help us advise you more appropriately
If there's anything else you'd like help with, please do let us know.

Hi @Transverse,
I'm not quite sure if this fits what you're looking for exactly, but have you considered Butlins? There are several different resorts around the UK and I always had great experiences with them growing up. Also, although I can't think of a specific town to recommend, I usually rely on a Premier Inn if I need to stay in a hotel. They're usually pretty cheap and good with all things accessibility. I hope that you enjoy your break, when it eventually happens!0 -
The only trouble with premier Inn and travel lodge is they don't have entertainment and sometimes no restaurant
Blackpool has lots of hotels with entertainment and accessibility and the area is mainly flat and a good promenade
I would imagine lots of seaside resorts would be the same1 -
Hi @Transverse
Beyond what our other members have commented, I was just wondering whether you might find the following resources helpful:
- Sociability app
- Euan's guide
- Getting travel advice from other disabled people (Scope)
- Planning accessible holidays abroad (Scope) - I think some of the information would still be useful for a trip within the UK

Thank you everyone, it really does show Britain as a whole is not as disability friendly as we would like, its not just hotels, it's venues, shops, down to drop kerbs you name it, I will let you know I found a hotel in western supermare with entertainment, breakfast and evening meal plus free bar 6pm 10 pm, fairly good disability friendly, but what a step in and out shower, need help there , will keep looking try somewhere else0

You'll have to let us know how you get on @Transverse
Things certainly do need to be more accessible, and hopefully we will get there soon!

Had a good time hotel accessible in to hotel, lifts, but lack of hand rails, showers are about 10inch off the floor not enough grab rails to get in and out shower needed help, I'm finding a lot of places not disability friendly0

Yeah I mentioned things but nothing does get done as you know, I hope one day every place has to be adapted1

Hi I too would love to get away with my family, I’m a quadruple amputee and can not find anywhere that would cater for my needs so looks like another summer at home and a very upset 9 year old daughter.0

O no! Bless you, I was looking at some travel lodges ect and they have level access showers which is always the main thing needed, how do you transfer?0
