I have 2 blocked arteries. I've been told I might be able to claim PIP. Is this true?

I have recently been told by my heart consultant the i have two arteries in my heart that are blocked and will need investigatin further with more ct scans and a fitness test carried out under strict hospital supervision and so on, people have told me i can possibly claim pip 
is this true please and how and where would i start with the whole process

    Firstly, PIP is not awarded based on a condition or diagnosis. 

    Secondly, it is about your functionality to carry out the activities listed in the descriptors. Everyone is impacted differently.

    The other ct is because i have back pain and the third artery didnt show with problems or blockages but i suffer severe back pain when i get the chest pain so they want to re ct. the doc has already said i need a by pass but might be anle to have the op done via the groin this is only normally done for people with one blocked artery sp chances are it will be full surgery, i cant walk far without getting put of breath so would this chamgr the circumstances around my pip claim

    My mum had a heart attack at 54. She had 2 stents in and all the medication etc. She also has heart disease and now angina. She got awarded PIP. Though she tires very easily and gets breathless walking from room to room. I suppose it just depends on how you fare after investigation and treatment.

    Im just stuck with the not knowing wether i will be awarded PIP and this does fill me with anxiety. Recent ct results confirm i have two valves blocked with calcified plaques and a dilated aorta.
    Im awaiting a stress test at st Thomas london soon, so do i have a case to put forward to CLAIM PIP ? 
    As i havent claimed benefits before its so confusing as to wether i do make a claim or not. Will PIP want more investigations before making their mind up. 
    My hospital report states i have CORONARY HEART DISEASE. Just un sure if that is enough
    can someone please advice

    As already advised PIP is not awarded on the basis of a diagnosis. It is awarded based on how your health condition affects your ability to carry out specified activities to a required standard.
    Please read the information already linked to by previous posters.

    However you do need to have had the difficulties for three months and expect expect them to continue for at least another 9 months. This means that if the diagnosis and treatment plan are such taht you expect to be 'put right' within 9 months you will not qualify (as already advised by Mike in his reply).

    As previously advised PIP isn't about a diagnosis so a report saying a diagnosis isn't the best evidence to send. Whether you'll score enough points for an award will totally depend on how your conditions affect you against the 12 PIP descriptors.
    No one here knows exactly how your conditions affect you so we can't tell you whether you would qualify.
