PIP estimated waiting times?

Hello 
I understand there is a backlog but I called to start my pip claim 7 weeks ago now, I filled in the online form and uploaded all my evidence the same day. Just wondering how long you usually have to wait for an assessment.

    7 weeks is no time at all and you could be waiting several months yet. Most people have assessments so you should expect one of those. Judging by many other threads here timescales from start to finish is about 10 months, sometimes longer.

    I waited in total 22 weeks from applying to award x

    I’ve been waiting 7 months since getting the forms. It’s with a case manager now but still could be a few weeks yet
