Well, after months of waiting, i finally get a phone assessment for pip. I am told that the DWP would be in touch with a decision 6 - 8 weeks later. Around about now, i should get the decision. A month ago i was told that i would get a phone call from Capita because they needed to ask a few more questions. On answering the call yesterday, i am told it will take an hour for my assessment. I told them i had already done the assessment, and was told to get in touch with DWP. The DWP phoned Capita, then got back to me to say that i was supposed to do another 1 hour assessment, as the first report sent back by Capita did not give enough information for a decision to be made. is this normal, or am i just being messed about.

Now i have to wait again for another appointment for the 1 hour assessment, which will again strech things out for weeks again.

Hi and welcome to the community
It isn't normal but it does happen it's in your interest to have the 2nd assessment if it didn't give enough information
You have just been unfortunate the original assessment wasn't done in enough detail

Hello @Wookie66 thanks for posting today. I'm so sorry to hear about what's happening with the application process, it's undeniably frustrating. If you'd like any help or support for you 2nd assessment please don't hesitate to ask, the community is here to assist you.
It's really bad luck, and I'm sorry it's drawn out, but I'm glad you've been able to vent your frustrations in a supportive space. Keep us up to date with how things go if you can.0
