Hi all and thanks in advance for any information you can share with me. Currently on High rate care PIP and low rate mobility. Extended due to Covid and submitted my review form 7th June 2021 had assessment by telephone on 7th February. Was wondering if I get awarded the higher rate mobility will it be backdated to when they received my form (my condition has worsened)

Hi,If this was a review started by DWP then any new decision will overrule your current decision from the date the decison was made, so no backdated money owed.If you had reported your condition worsening and awarded a higher rate then you would have received backdated money to the date you reported the changes (providing you had the worsening of condition for at least 3 months)0

Hi @poppy123456. Just an update. Checked my bank yesterday and a back paymet from PIP was deposited. So I'm guessing if you get a higher rate than previously then back payments are made I have yet to receive the letter yet but will update when I do.0

This doesn’t usually happen when it’s a review started by DWP. If it’s definitely backpay then you are lucky. Have you rang to check what the decision is?0

Not yet. Will probably just wait on the letter. Don't want to rock the boat.0
