edited March 2022 in Universal Credit (UC)

Hi so I'm on universal credit and I'm waiting to hear back as I sent the working capability form today. I would have been paid twice already but my previous employer accidentally paid me even though I no longer work for them. That was end of January. UC know this and because I have to pay it back they are working on paying me the money back.

My question is do I have to pay for my prescriptions? I used to have a prepaid prescription but it has run out

    Eligibility criteria

You qualify if, on the date you claim help with health costs:

you receive Universal Credit and either had no earnings or had net earnings of £435 or less in your last Universal Credit assessment period

    or

you receive Universal Credit, which includes an element for a child, or you (or your partner) had limited capability for work (LCW) or limited capability for work and work-related activity (LCWRA), and you either had no earnings or net earnings of £935 or less in your last Universal Credit assessment period

It was well over that but UC stated because I have to pay it back and I wasn't supposed to get the money that they won't count it. I can't touch the money I got sent by my previous employer

It will depend on what it says on your UC statement for the assessment period before you get the prescription.
