Insurance for the person whatever wheelchairchair they transfer to.

Has anyone cracked this? I can only find insurance for a single specific chair at a time (as if we're welded in). If I transfer to a different chair at all, I have to notify insurer, get another quote and pay a new premium.

Hi @Chi_on_wheels I'm not too sure what's possible in terms of having multiple chairs on one policy, as I only have one chair on my own insurance policy.
If you've made enquiries with any insurers, have they explained the reason(s) why you need to have multiple policies?0 -
That would make actuarial sense. Youcould get cheap insurance for an old manual,, but not then go round in a chair costing two year's income.0

The only thing an insurer could reasonably cover would be the dearest, with a condition any damage would be matched to the one damaged, but any premium matched to the expensive one.
I could see another problem for them even then, if one of your collection had a bad insurance history. (Just as different cars have.)\ Perhaps certain models tend to throw people out, causing injury claims, or tend to lose wheels and leave people stranded, or tend to go out of control, causing third party claims .0
