DLA indefinite award - sent to wrong address?

Hello!
Just looking for some advice to see if anyone's been in a similar situation - I've been on DLA since i was little and am now 24 and hopeful that I'll be able to move onto the new Scottish system when it's launched. However, my last two letters (Christmas bonus and April award) have been addressed to the house next door! I haven't had any contact with the DWP and haven't moved, so I don't know why it's changed, and I can't get through to speak to someone on the phone. All I'm looking for is to have it fixed so that everything is back to the way it was before, but I'm worried they'll assume the worse when I don't think I've done anything wrong? Would appreciate any advice!

You haven't done anyting wrong so don't worry about that.Try ringing them first thing in the morning when they open as this is usually the best time to ring them. Although even then you could still be waiting anything up to an hour for them to answer. You will need to try to contact them regarding this as they are the only one's that can put the address right.0

Welcome to the community @kty
It's great to have you on board.
That sounds like quite a frustrating problem! It can definitely be difficult getting through to them but, as poppy123456 has said, some people have more luck when calling first thing in the morning. Would you be able to call them in the morning?
I'd also be interested in hearing about your experience of moving over to the Adult Disability Payment (I'm assuming this is what you mean?), so please do keep us in the loop0 -
Thanks so much! Eventually managed to get through to them this afternoon. It seems that my NI form was updated with the wrong house number when I started working part time, so I'm going to try and sort it out with payroll at my work, and hopefully that will fix everything?
I'm quietly hopeful about the move to ADP and assuming it'll take place over the summer as I'm not in any of the trial areas, but we'll see! Definitely think that it could come out as a more balanced system if it all works as well as we hope.

Hi @kty, thanks for the update and I'm glad you at least know the cause now, hopefully it can be resolved soon.
Good luck with the move to ADP, you'll have to let us know how it goes. From what I've heard about it, I'm optimistic that it will be a much less stressful experience for those who claim it.0
