Hello there @sosad1 I'm so sorry to hear about how you've been feeling and about what's happened in the past. It takes so much courage to open up and ask for help, and as @Teddybear12 said, I hope you know we're all here to support you and we won't judge you.
It's so positive to see that you've been able to talk about the help you need here on the community, and I know you can do that with your GP. If you can, let us know how you get on today.
We'd like to offer you some additional support, so I'll be sending you an email soon from community@scope.org.uk, please keep an eye out for it.0 -
Thank you but there is no risk to my daughter and she is well cared for and she has friends she socialised well and doesnt need support. Thank you .0

Yes I have booked an appointment for next week to talk with my gp

Yeh I will let you know but tbh I was a bit taken aback when the administrator emailed wanting my name and phone number and email regarding safeguarding ?? Put me off posting anything tbh0
-
Thank you . I just wish I hadn't posted now if I'm honest there is no sage guarding issues as I said previously we have a very quiet life my daughter has many friends and sees her older sisters (who have left home) all the time. Although I suffer with loneliness I am certainly not in any sort of crisis situation. For someone who doesn't like I interacting with people the suggestion of contacting social support was over the top to say the least. I am sure there are many members such as yourself who want to offer support however I'm not interested in being in a group that appears to contain would be "do gooders"0

Hello @sosad1 I'm glad you've got an appointment to speak with your GP next week, that's really positive news

I'm sorry that our email made you feel uncomfortable, we don't want to discourage you from being a member of this community. It's so positive to see you've been able to reach out for help here.
Thanks for sharing that you're not keen on interacting with people, that helps us understand why you're feeling this way, and we're sorry if we caused any distress by emailing you.
We just want to help you get access to support, if you ever feel you need it. Safeguarding isn't to pressure you into providing any information or making you do anything you're not comfortable with. It's just to check in, ask if you're doing okay.
Let us know how things go with your GP next week, and we'll be here to listen.0 -
I think it's a little harsh to call people that are only trying to help you "would be do gooders." If you want your account to be deleted you can email scope at community@scope.org.uk and ask for your account to be deleted.

I didnt mean to offend anyone I'm sorry as I said I cant relate to people. Sorry0
-
Hi @sosad1 I'm sure you haven't offended anyone, so there's no need to apologise. I think the wires might've got a little crossed here, that can happen sometimes.
I know everyone is very proud of this community for being a place to come for support and advice. I know we wouldn't want to encourage anyone to leave just because they're feeling frustrated. It's important to remember that everyone's experiences are different, and everyone is at different points in their life.
Negative experiences with people in the past might well shape how we feel about people right now. If someone expresses this feeling, it doesn't mean they're not respectful, or thankful for any advice or support, it's just how they're feeling.
As Teddybear says @sosad1 you've taken such a big step this week, and we can all recognise that

Thank you I appreciate those words0

Hi @sosad1
Have you had your GP appointment yet? If so, do you mind me asking how it went?
I hope that your week's been going okay so far!0
