Hi guys, new to the forums so apologies if this has been asked recently.
Basically after an 11 month slog, I was awarded both enhanced rates on Friday 8th of April. Claim was made in March 2021!
The lady I spoke to said that I’d receive a letter confirming and a good chunk of back pay by the end of the week.

Was asked by ESA to call about payments they may owe me (severe disability premium) so did that also.
Haven’t had anything through yet.
How long does all that tend to happen with confirmation and payments kicking in etc? I’m aware Good Friday/Easter shenanigans won’t help but just wondering how it all happens.
Thanks in advance, have a lovely Easter

Hi,Were you awarded PIP by DWP or a Tribunal? If it was DWP then usually once a decision's been made they make payment and then it takes 3-5 working days to go into your bank. For the Severe disability Premium you must live alone or classed as living alone and no one must claim either carers allowance or carers element of Universal Credit for looking after you. It can take a few weeks to award this once you apply.1

In that case it may take a little longer to receive money that's owed. Usually money is received before the letter.

Can I ask you something does having children living with you count as not living alone for the disability Premium?poppy123456 said:Hi,Were you awarded PIP by DWP or a Tribunal? No, they don't count. See link. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/severe-disability-premiumIf you're claiming New style ESA then there's no disability premiums payable.
