I don't think that's correct. Some are waiting several weeks for a decision, and been refused. Some are waiting a couple of weeks and were successfully awarded.

     and   confused about  carers allowance.

As you're claiming Universal Credit, there's no financial gain to claiming Carers Allowance because it's deducted in full from your UC.
You can claim Carers element of UC, providing the person you care for claims either PIP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care.
Also if your UC includes the LCWRA element for yourself then you won't be able to claim Carers element as well as this because both elements can't be paidto the same person.

You won't lose your UC but the carers allowance will be deducted in full. If the carers allowance was backdated and you received that money, you'll now have an overpayment for UC. You'll receive a letter on your journal in due course regarding any overpayment, which will need to be repaid back.

I haven't  received  a award  letter  from  carers allowance  just  yet  ive   reported  changes  to  Uc and  I have  told  them  I'm  getting  carers  allowance  but  haven't received  the  award  letter   does  this  mean  Uc   will  cut  my  money  off  for  having  back  dated  carers  allowance? I don't  understand   it?

As i advised, there's no financial gain to claiming Carers Allowance and UC together because the carers allowance will be deducted £1 for £1.
If you asked for the carers allowance to be backdated and you were claiming UC at the time then yes, once carers allowance pay you the backdated money then you'll have an overpayment for UC. This is because you can't receive the money twice.
You can of course keep the backdated money you receive from Carers allowance and pay it straight to UC and then you won't owe them anything.
If awarded carers allowance, going forward your UC will be reduced by £302 per month. You will then receive £69.70 per week or £276.80 every 4 weeks, (which ever you chose when you claimed) for the carers allowance paid separately.

That’s not correct. Ringing PIP has no affect on any decision.

I only rang because I received a letter saying they now had all the information needed, it turned out they had made the decision 3 days prior to getting this letter that they had rejected me. Absolutely gobsmacked and I wouldn't have even applied for pip if it wasn't for my Macmillan nurse suggesting when I went for my diagnosis.

Of course I'm not giving in now because I've come this far but I need advice from people who know a bit more about going through the MR part, should I seek legal advice etc?

You certainly don't need legal advice. Whether you qualify for PIP will totally depend on exactly how your conditions affect you against the PIP descriptors.
You can get some expert advice from an agency near you by putting your postcode into this link and choosing the topic "welfare benefits" https://advicelocal.uk/
For the MR you should put this in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points. Adding a couple of real world incidents of exactly what happened the last time you attempted that activity for each descriptor that applies to you.
Include detailed information such as where you were, what exactly happened, did anyone see it and what the consequences were.
