I applied first time for PIP 15th november 2021, had my assessment on 2nd march 2022 then a follow up call a few days later, got a txt to say they all info they need on 23rd march then another on the 27th march ( nothing to worry about ) then went to audit ( again nothing to worry about ) at the time my anxiety was through the roof, its now the 29th april and my claim has been approved big relief

Thanks for sharing, @nikkinoo80 :) It's useful to hear timescales, as they can vary so much.

Congratulations on your award! I'm sure that must be a relief. Are you happy with the level of award you've received?

That's great news to hear @nikkinoo80 i love to hear nice news.

It is the waiting game that's stressful i find.
How are you today after your news.

Thank you, for me the waiting after the assessment was definately the worst part, I do think I should have scored higher but to be honest Im just thankful I was awarded so will not ask for a reconsideration, I have the award until september 2024 as the assessor thinks one of my conditions will worsen so I will probably need more advice nearer that time as people on here have been really helpful, this was my first time claiming, thank you again

I am delighted to read your Pip journey and that you now have the decision made.

I have also claimed PIP for the 1st time and hopefully will get the correct award
Part of my journey upto now can be viewed if you look under my name.

Can I ask please was it the decision makers report that was sent for audit ie a DWP internal audit and had you already requested the assessors report before you had been told it was sent for audit ie already read the recommendations written.

If you had received the health report before audit was the original assessors recommendations similar and followed by the decision maker and kept the same or changed after audit.

Many thanks for any advice and I really am pleased for you.

Stay safe and as well as possible. Thank you.

Hi, sorry for the delay, I spoke to DWP as soon as I got the first txt to request a copy of my report, I then spoke to them again after I had a copy and was told it had been sent back to the assessor and then gone to audit after they had it back from assessor, to be honest it was all abit confusing, I called them on the 26th april as I had a feeling something wasnt quite right and the very helpful man checked over everything and said he felt it should have been seen to and it had been sat there long enough, it was sorted that day which he told me it would be, unfortunately the wrong dates were put down so had to call again, once again it was sorted the same day and backpay was in my account one week later ( bank holiday ) hope this helps and good luck with your claim xxx
