So I was wondering - No matter what type of disability, health condition or other situation that you find yourself in, what is your Weekend Wellbeing Tip?
I find Weekends to be one of the hardest things because unlike Monday - Friday I have meetings, set routines and many things to keep me going. At the weekends I have loneliness and routine issues. So, I want to know, if you are like me, what are your Weekend Wellbeing Tips.
Here are some for me;
1) Spring Cleaning every weekend and using Olio to get rid of things;
2) Now I have a Garden I share with all the building I have started looking at what I can grow;
3) Play with my guinea pigs
4) Cuddle my 5"3 teddybear

Great thread @BritPuddles
Time away from your normal routines can definitely be a bit of a trigger for low mood etc.
I like all of your suggestions! On days off, I like to:- do puzzles to keep my mind busy, especially Sudoku!
- aim to get outside at least once per day, even if it's just to pop to the shop or grab a coffee
- try and connect with at least one friend or loved one, be that online or in-person
- do some chores, like cleaning or shopping

I am in social housing and have a shared garden with the other people in my block but at the moment we got some sunflowers from one of the neighbours in the bungalows. We planted some of the sprouts in hope they will be ok.Tori_Scope said:Great thread @BritPuddles

Hi @BritPuddles
I am sorry to hear you feel this way. I think it is something we all experience at some stage.My tips are:
1. Make a to do list: I do this for the week so that I know where I am at,
2. Make plans with friends and family.3. Try and make time for your hobbies, although I know this is not always possible when you have had a full-on week.I hope this helps.CSno010 -
It is fine about the spinal problems because I am used to it do a bit then sit do a bit more then sit. my goal is to do between at least 4-5k in steps so if that means marching on the spot then I do that. lol I do everything I can to keep myself in a good place.csno01 said:Hi @BritPuddles

It's great that you stay active @BritPuddles
What do you use to count your steps? I have a few friends who use Fitbits and Apple watches, and find them helpful for tracking progress. 0 -
I need a fit bit because I like the health features on it however, my old fitbit broke spectacularly so I brought a cheap one for £20 which is off brand but when I can afford I will replace. Fitbit works with EVERYTHINGTori_Scope said:It's great that you stay active @BritPuddles
