Stories to smile about on a Friday Afternoon - (just realised it's Thursday but hey)!

About 10 yrs ago I was looking to buy an adjustable bed. I had prices of beds from specialist companies so decided to try a regular high street shop. After we got through the usual 'please talk to me not my carer' malarky, I guided the salesman from the single beds to the double beds.
He was confused, but nonetheless followed. Then we got to discuss the range of beds in this section - but again he was perplexed that I wanted the bed to be two separate halves, controlled by separate controls. Why would I want the bed to have two separate controls???????
I asked him whether he had an adjustable bed...........he did.
I then asked him whether it was a pain when he was fast asleep at night and his husband sat up to read and the whole bed raised up? I explained it was a right pain.
I will never forget his face! Priceless.
And no, I did not buy a bed from there!

I don’t get it, was it his face because you said you had a husband?
Im surprised that caused any shock at all. 🙂0 -
@leeCal @66Mustang His face did tell the story of "what? you share a bed" and the double whammy of that it might be a man. Or perhaps he too shared a bed with a man and thought he'd been rumbled. Who knows!
