Hi my names dawn, I'm 59 and have motor functional disorder , I'm in a wheelchair and have angina, incontinence, I get enhanced on.both pip, esa contribution support group, my husband is my carer but been diagnosed.with terminal dementia, we have been told he can apply for pip and have checked and a few descriptors apply fully on mobility and other part, we do have a liason officer.who comes in twice week, we have just applied for to council for extra bedroom.allowance as my husband hits out at night and I'm not getting rest at all, we did get a letter to explain my husbands dementia., my husband is aged 63 , I have my pip for 10 yr award ,  is there anything else should be applying for, I am housebound , my husband can no longer go to shops.ect alone so rely on online.or neighbours, he still cares for me fulltime , we do have support from.family as well, is there anything else or advice to give.us both thanks.dawn

    Welcome to the community @dawny14 :) Thank you for joining, and for explaining your situation. 

    It sounds as though you both have a lot going on at the moment, but I hope our friendly members can help. You could try using a benefits calculator (Turn2Us) to see which benefits you may be entitled to claim. Have you tried using one before? 

    Have you had a needs assessment from your local authority? If you feel you could benefit from some additional support at home, you can refer yourself here

    It's good to hear that your family are supportive, as that can make a real difference. Are they able to help in making sure that you're able to get everything you need, such as food and medicine?

    Which ESA are you claiming? The old Contributions based or New style ESA?
