Sooo, I had a phone call earlier from my Hospital. I am having my Kidney out on 2nd August. I know it has to be done BUT I hate operations in general everything about hospital stays. What makes it particularly hard is restricted visiting, especially for my wife.

Hi @Siwheels73 good luck with your operation. Some hospitals are beginning to relax visiting, my local hospital has just announced 2 visitors to 1 patient now, also it might be relaxed more by August. I understand how you feel about operations and hospital stays, I think everyone feels a bit anxious about them. Just remember the surgeons are skilled at what they do and you'll be in good hands.0

I've not experienced a hospital stay in my adult life, but I can understand why you might not be looking forward to it @Siwheels73
Hopefully as Sandy says, visiting might be more relaxed in August, which will help things a little
I'm glad you've got a date in place, and that the road to recovery won't be too far away now.0 -
I have had over 100 operations, all before I was 16. The last went very wrong and I ended up with a hospital acquired injury. Living with that, I guess, is a constant memory. Of a hideous time0
