Hello just looking for some advise ofcourse no one can predict but at least i can get feeling on what to expect.
My mum is living with me we live in london shes 90 and she is disabled can not walk at all and has severe lack of mobility. She gets carers in to wash her and change her my sister is caring for her full time the problem is my mum is living in my living room along with my sister as there is no space upstairs we are looking for her to get social housing(my sister does not work so she would be a her full time carer) i will not be able to cope with them in my house so they need to leave.(made homeless )
what band are we looking at here band 1 emergency? and how long are we looking to wait i can appreciate no one can give me a exact time but roughly and if anyone has been in similar situation or know of any one who is in london recently got housing it would help if you could give a insight on time frames nowdays.or if anyone been or knows anyone who was band 1 emergency and how long they waited etc.
Thanks in advance

Hi there
Has your mum had a care needs assessment As this can move you up into higher band if current housing is deemed unsuitable
You can self refer on gov website
I don't live in London but I was put in priority band when I became disabled and it took a year to get suitable property
At least your mum will be able to bid on over 55 properties which are in some cases more accessible0
