I am trying to find some information i stupidly deleted.
I have been refered for a n asessment for a PA with adult social services; I have agreed to this as CMHTY say it is an option but I dont have to foloow through if they accept me and I not complete4y complety certain and comfortable with idea.
Information I have deleted explained that if I was accepted for social funding for a PA but refused. IT could go against me and show refusing help resulting in local authority having no resposibility towards as a result from the decision.
Could you please send me any links or give advise I wouod be very very greatful. Thankyou everyone who can help

I'm not really sure exactly what your question is here. Once you're assessed if support is needed then you can employ your own PA if you want to. Doing it this way has its advantages and disadvantages. The good points are that you'll always have the same person so you'll get used to them coming to support/care for you.The down side is that if the PA takes annual leave or they can't work because of sickness then you will be left without support.I employed a PA for my daughter so i do have personal experience with this. It didn't make a difference to us if she was on annual leave because my daughter lives with me. My daughter hated the idea at first and she said she didn't want a PA at all. Within a few months my daughter totally changed her mind and she loved her and trusted her, which was a big thing for my daughter because she doesn't trust many people.Your LA should explain everything to you.0
