Grants for a laptop

Hi am 55 disabled, housebound & needing care, I need a grant to purchase a new laptop, I have tried the reconditioned ones that tend to only last for 6 months. Can anyone suggest any where that individuals can apply as a lot only a third party can apply on your behalf?
Also I suffer from arthritis in my hands as well as the rest of my body can any one suggest good software for typing as you speak to the computer please?

Household support fund from your local Authority but i have no idea whether this sort of this would be included. You will need to contact your LA to ask them. Can't answer your question about the software but hopefully someone else will be able to advise on that.

I also have bad arthritis in my hands.

I don't have have any information about software for speaking to the computer but I do have a very useful piece of software you might appreciate.

It's called dwell clicker and it means you don't need to keep clicking the mouse button. You just move the cursor to where you want to click but the software clicks for you.

It's been a very big help to me for many years and it only costs £10. You can download it for free and have a trial period first.
