Welcome to the community @Julyana :) It's great to have you with us!

It's difficult to say exactly how long it'll be, but it's likely to be a little while unfortunately. Please do keep us updated. How have you been finding the process so far?

Welcome to our great group @Julyana hope you get the chance to have a look around the site, it's the best thing i have joined on line.
You sound like your just a head of me I have not long applied for the new style ESA, mine is through the NI contributions and my sick pay finishing at work. I have my forms/evidence ready to post today. So i will be following your progress so please stick around.

Hi @Julyana i found the forms a little like the pip one so i sent my letters from the hospitals discussing my treatment plans, why i can't have any ops, letters explaining why certain things are happening to my legs and feet.
I used my husband as well as the two consultants from the hospital for them to talk to if they wish about witnessing what i can and can't do.

Have either of you checked the descriptors for LCWRA/Support Group? If not then you can see them here. Have either of you checked the descriptors for LCWRA/Support Group? If not then you can see them here.https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/universal-credit-uc/uc-faq/limited-capability-for-work-related-activity
@SueHeath for your ESA claim unless placed into the Support Group your money will stop after 1 year. If placed into the Support Group money increases after week 14 of your claim and payments will also continue for as long as you remain in this group.
@Julyana For UC you will need to be found to have LCWRA to receive extra money each month. It will then be paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition, providing you're not claiming UC with a partner that already claims LCWRA element for theirself.

@poppy123456 thx for ur reply. I didnt know how long will take for the letter of interview to come after I'm sending the form to them. I saw on citizen advice that should be around 1 2 months. But on another sites or groups they saying that can take to to 4 months. My uc claim is with my hubby but he is full time working . I just hope to dont be face to face interview. I have iih and 3 time face paralisys in 6 months. So is a bit hard for me to go out. The only places where im going is gp or hospital. My face is messed up pretty bad. I'm thinking to send all medical docs I have . Discharge from hospital and discharge from acu of everytime I was there. Plus gp medical record coz I'm going kind of every week. Will be enough u think for them to do a phone appointment or even video one? From ur experience I'm asking.

Based on others here it can be as long as several months, sometimes longer. Assessments are either face to face at an assessment centre, telephone and sometimes video call. Paper based assessments are rare but possible.
For evidence, less is often more. Pointless sending medical records if they don't state exactly how your conditons affect you.

The thing is that whenever I gone gp like every week I was worst and they put notes on how I was feeling every time. They saw how I coudnt breath proper I coudnt drink and all are in the records. I'll get the record this week than ill see exactly what is in there. I just hope to dont be face to face. Thats all. Cheers for taking time to reply. I'll keep u updated after I'll know more. Thx again

You are entitled to the LCWRA element from the fourth full UC monthly period after you reported your health condition provided you supplied continuous Fit Notes. The date you submitted the questionnaire is irrelevant.

The LCWRA element is not paid at all during the waiting period which is 3 full assessment periods.
