LCWRA backlog in London?

Hello everyone again. How do I find out if there's a backlog down in London? I don't want to be writing stuff in UC journal thou. I got my award back in 2020 so waiting for review. Any news about London situation?

Reviews for the work capability assessment are still currently suspended and have been for quite some time, this applies to the whole country. Nothing has changed since you last asked. Your LCWRA is an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise.When it's time for your review, you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you that you're being referred for the WCA, Until this time all you can do is wait.0

The same applies nationally, reviews are suspended. You haven't bothered anyone.I'm in the same position as you but i claim ESA. My last review was 2 years ago but all i can do is wait. For me, there will be no letter to tell me i'm being referred, i will just receive the form in the post.If you want while you wait you could start to gather some evidence and perhaps write some notes with some real world incidents, this will save a lot of time when you do get referred.I try and put it as far to the back of my mind as possible otherwsie my anxiety levels increase, which causes even more pain.0

Thank you poppy. Maybe now that Boris is out of work,he should be claiming UC in no time. Probably won't accept any given job after 4 weeks so I have a suspicion that fit notes will go left and right lol0

Hi Robert, I'm just like you, wondering when these reviews for lcwra will come back into force.
I was awarded lcwra in August of 2020. It was a telephone assessment an I was surprised to see in my journal the day after I was awarded it. I didn't even supply evidence or send them questionnaire back! Just told him the truth over the phone about my problems an suitation.
Anyways, I'm always trying to find out about when they may start reviewing people again but no luck, I want it to go on for as long as possible so every month is a bonus lol.
I did read though the PIP backlogs are still at around 317000 and rising at this moment in time. If that the case I think we will have some good few months yet to get sent for a review.
That's not forgetting all the new claims that have been applied for in the last year or so waiting for there first assessments. Not just PIP, which I read is the DWP's priority right now.
Saying all that, I'm not certain of when we will get sent for a review. I just hope it's a while yet.
Poppy, I understand you also we just have to wait, but what would you're guess be? At least 2023? Until we are sent for assessment? I'm hoping to get through this year with no pressure.0 -
@acejacko32 yeah, I'm trying to figure out too . Is it going to be within couple of months, by the end of this year, next year etc. Someone commented on one of my posts her about their husband who got reward back in 2017 and is still waiting. So yeah I wonder what's the real situation.0

It's impossible to even guess. When they do start the reviews again i'm sure we'll hear about it.

I must of got lucky,my PIP was reassessed at the start of the year,then after sending more new evidence was granted an ongoing award.
One thing I saw on a DWP site was that if you have an ongoing issue,degenerative issue,and it won't improve,assessors for LCWRA are asked to give longer lasting,or ongoing awards and use the money seeing you repeatedly be better spent on new claimants,the criteria is quite strict,but not exhaustive,they have to use a common sense approach to it.0 -

If you were found to have LCWRA because of substantial risk then the severe conditions group can't apply to you. The list has four protocols that could apply to certain conditions,for instance,my arthritis which is in 11 separate joints,is not going to get any better,so I could be seen to meet the criteria,you cant replace a spine,a hip yes,knees yes,ankles no.Im sure many others meet a lot of the criteria as well.0

Meeting the criteria and being placed into that group are 2 completely different things.
