Premier Inn

Hi, my wife and I are currently staying in what we think is the world's worst Premier Inn!
It is near Heathrow Airport, and we booked an accessible room with an adapted bathroom. Trouble is that it has not been updated in years, and the bath is not accessible to us given the vast number of grab rails they have placed in crazy locations. 2 grab rails block the platform provided to allow a transfer from a wheelchair to the bath. There are 8 rails in the small space - pics to follow!

Hi @woodbine. It depends on the location, I guess. We have stayed in some very good PI's0

I once stayed at a premier inn and as it was Valentine’s Day I decided I’d invite my other half down to the bar for a celebratory drink. She decided she’d have sparkling wine, that threw them, they didn’t have any, so after much deliberation they made a drink of white wine with a splash of soda stream! Apparently it was disgusting and that was the end of Valentine’s Day. 🤣 🥴
Im sure other premier inns would never dream of doing such a thing though.0 -
@leeCal I hope that wasn't the end of a beautiful friendship?!0

No @Siwheels73, but it was the end of Valentine’s Day for us. The drink was horrible, we left it and the bar more or less straightaway. I probably shouldn’t have laughed about it though...it was like someone out of fools and horses. The bloke behind the bar ( I’d say barman but I’m not sure he was) genuinely thought it was a stroke of genius.0

Please pop a review with photos on trip advisor.
Everytime i book a premier inn /travelodge i go looking for photos of the accessible rooms.. it helps hugely.
There are some good ones but also some where they just dont work ..1 -
Most definitely will be doing so @Aardvark1

I stayed in a Premier Inn this week on Monday-Thursday and I had a lovely room but I did hear a lady and her husband down at the reception desk complaining of how their rooms didn't suit their needs being wheelchair users. Pretty sure they got a little refund and moved to a different room. Think it must vary by location but I could tell they wasn't happy at all.0
