Hi,
I have recently had an appointment with an OT(children’s services) and she recommended a lot of kitchen, bathroom and other tools to try out. I was wondering if there’s a grant or something to help to pay for them as the costs does start to add up ?

Didn't the OT supply you with the items you need? They usually do this, unless those items are not provided by your local Authority. In another thread you mentioned you're 18, was the assessment for you? If so then i'm very surprised it was childrens services that dealt with you because at age of 18 you're now classed as an adult in your own right, therefore it should have been adult services that did your assessmenr.0

Yeah the OT didn’t provide the items I needed and I just got a letter home that says consider using this tool or this tool. Yeah the assessment was for me but it was a couple of days before my 18th birthday and was referred 2 yrs ago to OT0 -
That sounds really tough @harrypotterfan1. Were contact details included in the letter you received?
NHS Inform states"If your occupational therapist thinks you need equipment to help you, it can usually be provided free of charge on a long-term loan. However, different local authorities may charge for some pieces of equipment."
Please feel free to keep us in the loop. We are all here for you
