New sick notes didn’t start till March.

You would then be entitled to the LCWRA payment from August or September 2021 depending on exact dates.

As advised here, it will be from Aug/Sept. However, if you reported another health condition in March and then sent in fit notes then this could prompt them to refer you for another work capability assessment. Any decision made on that will overrule the Tribunal decision.

Sick notes were sent in for same condition. My job advisor told me to do this in case I lost tribunal, so do you think it’s worth me trying to get the backpay.

It should be from the dates previously advised. If they don’t then you can request the MR.

If you’ve only recently had the Tribunal decision then it can take several weeks to receive any money owed. Have you actually had a letter on your journal regarding when it’s been paid from?

Yes, only being paid from June this year.

I’m waiting on a team leader getting in touch, been talking to cab waiting on a benefits expert to ring, not letting this go it’s wrong. I asked for an explanation but didn’t get a straight answer so asked in journal for someone to please explain to me why I haven’t had backpay from sick notes. that’s when they said it has been passed to a team leader. So waiting for them to get in touch. Really appreciate this thank you.

Hi, still not heard anything, but I have been talking to someone on social media and they are going through same as me except at there assessment they were not awarded lcw didn’t change at his mr but it did change at tribunal and he was awarded lcwra. But they have only backdated his from assessment and not sick notes before this. Any help appreciated.

All you can do is request the MR as previously advised. Timescales for MR decisions is 2-12 weeks. Can't advise with the person on social media because i have no information about their case. There could be many reasons why someone hasn't had their claim backdated.

They told him was because he wasn’t awarded  lcw.

It’s ok , just told him I would try to find out for him as he struggles to use phones other than to talk on them. Will ask cab on Monday if they could give him a ring. Thanks anyway.

I agree it's kind of you to try to help them. It's just very difficult to give advice without knowing all the exact details. If you can give them the link to scope they could join theirself and then post their question here. No phone calls needed.

It’s the texting and writing posts he struggles with, my friend told me about his post and because it’s a bit similar to my problem I said I would ask a few questions for him. The only difference with his is he wasn’t awarded lcw.
