Hello @lawnfnder85 and a belated welcome to the community from me :)

I found this page on the Gov.uk site, which I hope answers your question. It says:

    Driving on the road
You can only drive on the road in a class 3 mobility scooter. The maximum speed is 8mph.
You cannot drive on bus lanes, ‘cycle only’ lanes or motorways. Avoid using dual carriageways with a speed limit of over 50mph.
You must use an amber flashing light for visibility if you use a class 3 mobility scooter on a dual carriageway.
    Road rules
You must follow the Highway Code if you drive your mobility scooter on the road.

If you have any other questions about this, do let us know.

Hi Ross,  Thanks for your reply re my mobility scooter query.  It seems now that if  travel on dual carriagways in certain circumstances, I need to show a flashing amber light of which I am not having a lot of success in locating.  I do have a couple of ideas  but just at present I have had to put things on hold.... I was told this morning that my eldest daughter (60yrs.old) had fallen from her horse and suffered 12 broken or cracked bones in various places.  Needlesss to say I have a few priority things to sort out, so my amber flashing lights will have to take a step back for a bit.
Apologies to you Ross and anyone else who might wonder why I seem to have vanished..but I will be back when possible.

    Best Regards to all,

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter @lawnfnder85 that must be very frightening and painful, for both her and you :(

Please reach out here for support if you need to, we are happy to listen and help where we can. I hope your daughter is being looked after in hospital now, and that her recovery is a smooth one.
