The dwp have decided to add severe disability premium to me how long before I get backdated money

    Are you happy about being awarded SDP? Regarding backpay, there isn't a pre-defined schedule for how long it will take to get into your account, and of course it will also depend on how quickly your bank processes the payment, but hopefully it won't be too long for you. Have they confirmed to you that it will indeed be backdated?

    Money owed is paid separate to your usual money and from the date it's paid it takes 3-5 working adays to go into your bank.
    Going forward your ESA fortnightly payment will increase by £138.80 (single person)
