Sorry for starting a new thread I have read many but everyone's gas different situations.
Basically I have been sending UC fit notes since November 2020, I have a diagnosed psychiatric condition which i had proved to my work cosch and put in my health section. I was awarded PIP late last year, 2021. I applied for LCWRA October 2021.... i wasnt even aware it existed. Paperwork submitted end of November 2021. Assessment not carried out until July 5th this year. I have received confirmation I have been awarded LCWRA As of July 5th 2022 however no back pay is due... I will not receive anything until after the 3rd Assessment period which will be from 5th October onwards.
Is this correct?

The LCWRA status should be applied from the date you first reported your health condition to UC provided you supplied details of Fit Notes.
If you first reported your health condition in October 2021 that is when the LCWRA status should be applied.
The extra money for having LCWRA is only paid four months later so you would be entitled to the the LCWRA element from February/March 2022 (exact date will depend on when your UC payments are made and exactly when you reported the health condition).
You should post a notice in your journal asking them to review the LCWRA start date. Spell out when you reported your health condition and supplied the Fit Notes.1 -
Thank you. I have popped a note in my journal highlighting the fact my first sicknote was supplied end of 2020 and I submitted the paperwork for LCWRA with proof of illness in December 2021. They say I'm entitled from the 5th July 2022 which was the date of my assessment. But I was pretty sure I was right in thinking it should be the 4th period after my first sick note which all clearly state my diagnosis and difficulties that go with it. They have also forced me to attend the job centre whilst supplying fit notes. The system isn't great is it 😣0

Sorry - in my previous reply I said you reported your health condition in October 2021", reading again I see you reported in November 2020 so your LCWRA payment status should be backdated to them and the LCWRA should be payable until March or April 2021.1

justanotheronehey said:They have also forced me to attend the job centre whilst supplying fit notes. That will be because when claiming UC you're classed as a job seeker until a decision is made on your WCA. A work coach has discretion to turn off or reduce work commiments. All that makes no difference now anyway because you were found to have LCWRA there will no longer be any appointments to attend.1
