Hi basically me and my ex had a joint claim but when we split up we both made them separate claims and my first payment wasn't assessment period that ended in the period 26 April 2022 to 25 May 2022." But ive been on uc for around 3 years now So does that mean I'm not entitled to the cost of living payment

    Good afternoon @jsmercado91
Unfortunately I think this is correct.  Are you paid 4 weekly as opposed to monthly ? If so, the assessment period used by the government to calculate the low income cost of living payment coincided with a month when your UC claim was based on five weeks pay and so you had a nil claim for  this particular period.

You've misread the question. I don't see that their UC was reduced to zero for the assessment period in question.

If you had a joint claim for that assessment period and you received a payment then the CoL payment will be paid into the account that was used for that claim and you will need to share that money. You will not be entitled to the first payment for yourself.
