Poem called Accessibility

It is a crying shame that nothing seems changed when comes to people with disabilities still not able to get access to all buildings.

Under The Building Regulations 2010: Equality Act, which means that people with disabilities should be able to access all buildings nowadays. It feels like there is still a white haze over the eyes of those responsible for making sure that all buildings are accessible in this day and age I don't aspect to still see this here in Britain where we prided ourselves on making all buildings inclusive for all people with disabilities. It should take us to go to press before the owners of a building to make the necessary changes to make all buildings inclusive of all people with any disability. Our voices still go unheard by those in government.

    That does sound really frustrating @Globster :( Have you found anything that's helped, such as complaining to the building owners or local council, or taking the story to the local press?

    I conact the building the own but they used the excuse that was too old they could they only had a service lift for kitchen staff use but I feel to let go to the press because a long time ago@Tori_Scope

    One of the problems I'm coming across is that there is no one clear definition of what is accessibility so I don't use a wheelchair but I can't walk very far I have visual impairment I also have epilepsy so what fits one person may not be suitable for somebody else for example we have a RAM fitted is often quoted as being accessible but I can't see well enough to judge where the ramp is and where it's going for somebody else it will be very very useful.

Our voices still go unheard by those in government. something like their hearts being closed so our words don't get through as we pursue change.
