i wondered if anyone knows if I can get any financial support for a rise and recline chair. Mine broke and a kind friend found a second hand normal recliner which was difficult but beggars can’t be choosers can they. Only trouble was it brought bedbugs into my house. I can honesty say it is horrid. Today I’m having it treated so out of house for 5 hours. They have said it’s the chair that started it and I need to get rid of it. Easier said than done when you can’t sit up right because of back compression. I’m glad I’ve found the community and used to work for scope Peterborough many years ago. Thank you if you got to end of this x

Hello @JulieQ and welcome to the online community
Sorry to hear about what happened with the second hand chair, that sounds like a very inconvenient situation indeed.
Lovely to hear that you used to work for Scope, I'm glad that you've found the online community and look forward to hopefully seeing you engage more going forward
Scope has an information page here about paying for equipment that can support you to live more independently as a disabled person, hopefully you find some of the information helpful0
