Hi people could anybody help .. i was awarded pipin september 2019 until june2022 initially.. i get enhanced rate on both parts.. but due to covid i received a letter saying my award had been extended until march 2023... Today i received some renewal forms which are asking me to complete them and return them by the end of august..... they are asking me if my condition is still the same or if its changed...... I am worried now that if i send these forms back and i am unsucessful that my claim will end within the next couple of months and before my award date of march 2023..does anybody know how this works and what the procedure will be??? ... any help or advise would be greaty appreciated ..Kind regards

Hi and welcome to the community
The review is the same process as initial application just the form is slightly different
You fill in the form treat it as new application don't just put no change explain in detail against each descriptor how your condition affects you
You will then have an assessment either f2f or 0hone or video call and report returned to dwp
A decision will be made and once this has been done the new decision will be effective regardless of the date your old award was due to end
Reviews are taking months to complete so may take as long as your current end date for it to be complete0 -
Ty for your reply.. so what you are saying is that after i send the forms back and they call me for a f2f or over the phone assesment ... assuming i am unsuccesfull my award will stop even if its before my award end date which is march 2023???.. if this is the case what is the point in awarding a person pip for example for 3 years if they are going to take it off you before the award end date??? .. I have been assesed and awarded for that period so surely they have to honour that and continue to pay me until that date?janer1967 said:Hi and welcome to the community

Thankyou.. my renewal dont have to be posted until the 12th of september so by the time they get it that will take it to the end of september.. so that will only give them 6 months to review it and to call me in for a medical assesment if neccessery before my award ends in march 2023.. what will happen if march comes and i my case hasnt been reviewed and everything isnt completed???poppy123456 said:leagazking said:
