Sounds like a decision's been made on your review, which could be Enhanced daily living. Did you not ask what the decision was when you rang? You should receive the decision letter soon.

Welcome to the community @heidihelsinki :) How are you doing today?

Hopefully your decision letter will arrive soon, so that you'll know for sure what you've been awarded. Please do keep us updated on that.

How did you find the telephone assessment?

Are you getting any back dated pay with your claim been accepted at higher rate? Thanks, I'm on 8 months of waiting on my review and I'm wondering if people get money back dated

It's normal to be nervous during the assessment @heidihelsinki- you're definitely not the only one to have felt that way!

The Turn2Us website says the following regarding PIP backdated payments:
Your Personal Independence Payment (PIP) will start being paid after you receive your decision letter. Your decision letter tells you whether you qualify for PIP and how much you will get. Your PIP will be backdated to when you first made a PIP claim, so you are likely to get a lump sum back payment.

This lump sum payment can be very large. The DWP might contact you and offer to pay it in installments. This can be helpful if you have difficulty managing money. However, it is your choice whether you want the money as a lump sum or in installments.

PIP is usually paid every four weeks.
I believe this may be different for reviews @hayleyrx.

Tori, the bit you quoted is for new claims.

If the review was started by DWP then the new decision will not be backdated. If the review started because the claimant reported a change then the new decision, if it is an increase, should be backdated.

Good news. However, your payment that you said here..
i rang helpline tbey said im getting a payment of £364.on my next payment date 6th sept.
doesn't indicate an award of Enhanced for both parts. This award should be £627.60 every 4 weeks.

Is December when you first handed review form in? I'm wondering if they backdating you to then?. Some people are getting backdated pay on a review & alot arnt. It doesn't make sense to me :/

Obviously I know you would only get back dated pay if your claim award was to go higher.

Backdated money from a review if the award is higher is not something DWP would usually do. Though i agree that quite a few members here have received money owed from a review. The only thing i can think of is that because of the huge backlogs some are being backdated to the date they sent the form back.
