Help with housing costs is paid as part of UC known as housing element. Unless you’re in supported or temporary housing.
You say you are about to made homeless so where are you currently living and who is paying your housing costs now?0 -

UC helpline are not benefits advisers. They have very little benefits knowledge and just read from a screen. That would be the last place I would advise anyone go for benefits advice.
Id advise you to speak to an advice agency like citizens Advice.1
