Cerebral palsy and facial movements and expressions

I tend to frown without even trying lol. Or look sad in the face without actually being sad . LOL . I remember a while back I watch YouTube videos relating to people with cerebral Palsy and they were doing the same thing with facial expressions. Obviously there’s some muscles in the face. I know Bell’s palsy relates to facial movements. Please feel free to move this post to a different category lol

Thank you for sharing this @golucky252
I've moved your post into our CP category so that other people with CP will be able to read and respond to your post more easily.
It's interesting that you found some YouTube videos relating to this subject. How do you feel about the kinds of facial expressions you pull?0 -
@Tori_Scope Lol I’m not sure how I feel it’s just apart of having cerebral palsy I guess0

The muscles affected by CP depend upon the type you have been diagnosed with. For example, a person with spastic hemiplegic CP is less likely to have issues with facial muscle control. This isn't a hard and fast rule, however.1

I think it's really positive that you see it as just part of having cerebral palsy @golucky252

@L_Volunteer yep I know I’m going to have cerebral Palsy for the rest of my life so I might as well stay positive about it ☺️0

It is interesting isn't it @golucky252 as someone with CP myself, the community is really highlighting to me exactly how variable this condition is, not that I wasn't aware before, but the details are interesting to learn about
