Hiya everyone I have been receiving lwrca for 2 years due to chrons disease (I'm 6 stone and quite unwell) however I have heard that after 24 months I'm due for a reassessment am I due one soon? I don't mind but last time I had a phone call but I'm abit worried about a face to face meeting just with my stoma bag it's hard to go out and about?

WCA reviews are currently suspended. There was a thread on here a couple of days ago saying they had recieved the forms but having searched on the internet to find out if they have started reviews i couldn't find anything to confirm this. The timescale they give you is a just a guide and nothing more. LCWRA is an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise.I note you mention LCWRA so you must be claiming UC. When they do refer you for another assessment you will receive a letter onto your journal, a few days later you should receive the forms in the post.WCA can be by telephone, video call or face to face.0

Hiya thank you for your post. Yes i get uc and pip but basic standard rates as my stoma bag limits my life basically. I wonder how long they have stopped reassessments. I wouldn't mind having a reassessment but it's just the thought of having to go and explain everything again sending me worrying about it. I did this with the pip though but had a lovely lady and she just saw the stoma and said u don't need to explain any more this with the letters from the doctor is enough but it's always a worry isn't it.0

Reviews were suspended not long after the first lockdown. They have been concentrating on new claims and because of the backlogs of those, they put reviews on hold. While you wait you could start to gather some evidence but in the meantime there's nothing you can do but wait. Thankfully, your LCWRA element just continues as normal which is a good thing.0

Thank you it's such a worry however it may take years to deal with the backlog if they have just stopped reassessments then that's mad0

Thank you for joining us!
Yes, it's certainly a worry that's weighing on many people's minds, especially with the ongoing cost of living crisis causing people to feel even less certain about the future.
It sounds as though you're quite unwell with your Crohn's disease at the moment. Do you have a supportive medical team who are helping you to manage your symptoms?0 -
Hi to all on the thread. So are they still suspended or not? If someone received assessment papers on another thread… confusing and conflicting.I’d be happy to have one at this point just to get it over with, the waiting is the worst part. Not knowing is also not helping matters.0

And also poppy I thought we didn’t need evidence? I thought we only needed to put real life examples to explain the descriptors? You know me I love to worry, (obsess) over every little detail.0

As I advised on another thread, I’m not aware of the reviews starting back up for the WCA. No, medical evidence isn’t needed.0
