Severe disability premium and my son visiting me from university

Hi,  i have a question.   My son lives in Nottingham University house.  He comes home to visit me stays couple of weeks goes back.   Would he be classed has living with me on the form?

    I'm assuming you're asking about the SDP for yourself. In this situation it will depend on where your son is classed as normal residing. If he's classed as normally residing at home with you then you will not be entitled to SDP unless your son also claims a qualifying disability benefit or he's registered blind.
    Only a decision maker can make the final decision. When filling out the form you need to tell them that your son is at Uni living in student accommodation.

    Thank you.   I have written on the form that he's at uni.   We will see what they say.

    Just an update.  They asked for proof he was in university so i just sent that off.

    That's understandable. If he's classed as normally residing with you then you won't be entitled to the SDP. If he's classed as normally residing at Uni, then you'll be entitled to the SDP.
